I had 2 of these DeLonghi coffee makers and both broke after about 2 months. The seal inside the device that limits the water supply to the coffee grounds is broken (you'll hear about it later that day), and then the water will leak out forever. This event now ALWAYS allows water/steam to build up until the unit is turned off. If you step back 5 minutes after making espresso with frothed milk, forget that your device is now literally a bomb, and then remove the espresso stick at normal speed, it will explode in your face. Hotspots everywhere! Make sure there are no children or dogs around. The only way to prevent this and disable the bomb is to first open the steam valve and then SLOWLY turn the ground espresso knob to allow it to SLOWLY release pressure like a rabid snake. UNACCEPTABLE DANGEROUS. 2 UNITS, SAME PROBLEM, SAME EXACT TIME. Someone has to file a class action lawsuit.
