Great for my knees, much better than my 6 year old free foam pad that fell on a hard surface. It consists of black hard and light rubber. Its 1 inch thickness is thick enough. I'm a 70 year old rancher in Idaho, I'm often on my knees working with equipment, loading our wood stove, crawling under buildings or just fixing things. After several previous knee surgeries and age, my knees are more sensitive to hard surfaces and pressure than before. Sometimes I use a knee pad harness for long belly crawling to fix the lines, the knee pad harness still has its characteristics. use, but they are difficult to keep in place and take time to tighten. I use my new 380 pad more often because it fits my hand, fits quickly and is very comfortable. 210 pounds of knee pressure. I've been using it for over a month and I really like it. So far I've had no problem with rodents, birds, squirrels or my other little ranch buds nibbling on it to nest like they did my old foam padding. I put off buying it last year because I didn't want to pay $30. I recommend this if you're kneeling at all, I think it would be a good butt pad for watching high school football games from the cold hard metal bleachers this fall. I did not find any defects in this product, also fast S & H, buy it!
