There are about a dozen different makes and models of this type of device. I chose this one as it had true USB charging and not the proprietary USB connector that most of them seemed to have, so I didn't have to keep an eye out for another cable type. This is a regular electric shaver where the heads have been moved to work better on the heads. It's not uncommon, but it seems to have done its job. It's not as close as with a razor, but I honestly only wanted a trace of the shadow, about as much as there was left, so it works well for my purposes. Longer term, I'm hoping the little one is comfortable enough that I can roll this over my head every few days instead of putting off that pesky haircut until what's left of my once-giant mane has come out enough to remind me why I started in the first place to hum with her.
