If you have small hands, the strap between the top and bottom rings is not enough to wrap your hand around the bottle under the strap. You can put your hand underneath it, but it's so tight that it quickly becomes uncomfortable. I tried the strap on three tanks of different sizes and circumferences and ran several distances. The only way I've found to get this to work is to use it as a stylus with three fingers between it and the bottle. This, of course, causes excessive movement of the water in the bottle while running.
