I wanted to buy a small backpack that looked more like a suitcase than a traditional book bag and that would slide over the handle of my rolling suitcase (which this one does both vertically and horizontally). This backpack met almost all of my needs! The only thing I would change is that the main compartment zips over the entire bag so it can be fully opened. This backpack is well constructed and the gray color is a nice neutral color that goes with everything. I also really like the orange color on the inside as it makes things stand out in the pockets. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the zippers are designed for locks and are metal so they last a long time. There are also anchors sewn into the backpack to which you can attach the zippers, which is great. Having always used the backpack as carry-on luggage under my seat in the past, I don't expect this bag to cause any problems if I use it in the same capacity, although I'll keep updating when I can confirm for sure.
