Unlike much of the underwear coming from Asian manufactures, the sizing on this brand seems to be accurate for American sizing, as opposed to 2 to 3 sizes smaller than labeled coming from so many others. I have a 38" waist, and usually size American XL in most things fits me best. I ordered XL here, and these were actually arguably a hair too big/loose. But I don't need tight snug undies, so the extra room is okay in this case. The waist is fine, it's just the cut of the rest of the underwear that feels maybe a half-size too big/loose. But they might possibly shrink a little after laundered a few times. If I ordered again, I'd probably try the size L next time.
