I was using HDMI 1.3 on my new Apple TV and in the settings I found that I can't turn on the video settings because the HDMI cable has the Apple HDMI test fails for every setting. With this HDMI 2.1 cable I was able to enable HDMI 4:4:4 and RGB HIGH 4k @ 60Hz on my Sony XBR-49X830C Smart TV (this is stupid now because the MediaTek chip no longer supports Sony's WTG!, and I had Issues with 4K video freezing while audio continues playing and/or audio freezing in Netflix on Android built-in TV (not related to the HDMI cable) ARC works the same as it does with the HDMI 1.3 cable that gives you global volume control when connected to an HDMI source input on a stereo receiver.
