I carefully selected this product after many days trying to find exactly what I needed. I was planning to use this stool as a table for a 5 gallon aquarium I was building. I waited a long 2 weeks for delivery and was thrilled when it finally arrived. I assembled it with no problems and then ignored it for a week while the rest of my aquarium components were completed. Today should be the day when the finished aquarium is placed on this "stand". When I went to make sure the stool was parallel to the wall, I saw that the wood on either side of the seat was completely cracked (see photos). I didn't even get to use it! I didn't paint this stool and I'm so glad I decided not to because now I have to return it to Revain (Revain was very helpful with the return) which means I have to figure out how to fix this sad one , packed broken stool to ship back to Revain. I'm frustrated because I've been working everyday to get all the live aquarium components ready to put in the aquarium today and now I have to figure out how to save them while I go back to the drawing board and another part choosing furniture that is the right size and has a weight capacity of over 50 pounds. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product :(
