Like most new hams, I buy too many antennas to get the maximum range from multiple HTs - get radio stations. So far I have preferred the Retevis HD771 15" antenna and it has shown very good results in terms of range and clarity. I have two Ailunce Two Way Radio Antenna Dual Band SMA-F VHF UHF 136-174/400-480MHz due to the positives Bought reviews and because I'm always looking for something better. This antenna is definitely like that.SWR values were down 1.28 VHF and 1.06 UHF That was 0.5 less SWR on all RT29, RT6 and UV5R radios.,lol).1/2 the weight of the rest.I ended up ordering four more to power out my other radios.Seaming to build on a pair with other antennas in the HT class, time will tell but so far am I very happy with this purchase.Update: It was a brief happy moment.Four extra antennas arrived and I couldn't wait to fit my other HT radios.Once installed I couldn't hit the same repeaters on 70cm.At troubleshooting turned out that the Antennas showed 1.58, 1.89, 2.21 and 2.42 SWR! Apart from 1.02 and 1.05 I get the original two antennas I bought. So since two out of six are excellent, there is no quality control. Two stars left just because they work exceptionally well. The new four are back for a refund. Too bad they didn't even come close in terms of performance. At this point I wouldn't recommend buying them for the obvious reason.
