Review on πŸ” Optimized Search: Monoprice Ceiling Bracket with Swivel Rotation for Projectors (106529) by William Chavez

Great product with a very small problem. Wired Control. A joke, especially with DVI or SVGA connections.

Well designed hanger. The mounting plate at the top is solid. The screws they supply are pretty much useless. Most ceilings are made from drywall, false ceilings, and possibly plywood. Set up for a thick "something" blanket. You mentioned concrete. I work with a false ceiling with thin, very fragile panels. I replaced the panel with 3/4" plywood and painted it black. I bought 3/8" carriage bolts, drilled them and mounted them with washers and nuts. Make sure the screw heads are up and the nuts are down. It looks better with the domed heads showing. If you don't get centered exactly, you can loosen the nuts and move them from left to right without removing the plate to adjust. The advertisement mentions laying cables. If you run a wire through a pipe, you can do this. If you try to connect DVI or SVGA connectors to the ends of the cable, you won't be able to. Especially if you're waiting for it to install. When everything is ready, there are screws for assembly in the middle of the tube. Absolutely nothing. It is best to use black cable ties and tie them to the back of the bracket. It's a good publicity stunt, it just doesn't work. The projector mount itself is very nice. This is just a projector mount, not the whole hanger. Fast, easy assembly and disassembly. Great design.
