My first razor before I decided to spend real money on a razor. I have very thick and coarse facial hair and teenage skin. Shaving is a process in my life and I have never found a cartridge razor that worked well. So DE and now on the road with a razor. While there are a few issues, I can't rule out operator error or blade choice, and for the price, it's all I can ask for. Accordingly, it gets 5 stars. The only real issue with the product is that the alignment tabs feel a bit subpar. I assume they stamp them. It can be difficult to align a fresh blade and get a tight fit. Especially when I break the DE blade in half. The blade seems to hold firm and level once the blade is properly adjusted. For me (even with fresh blades) it "sticked" to my face. I've tried different ratios of soap and water and tested them across the board - maybe it's a razor, maybe it's a blade, maybe it's a technique. I can get a very precise sculpt and can get a BBS with no ingrown hairs or bumps. Over 20 shaves with him so far and he's still going strong. You may have to go through the blades that come with it and then ditch them in favor of a real straight razor. I save my DE collection for travel or a quick shave.
