The quality of the leather is excellent, the color looks great. I bought my belt a little longer than I needed and shortened it with the tool that came with it. I was nervous reading about it, but it was easy and even fun. I've lost a lot of weight recently and have found that I can shorten some of my other straps with the tools provided, which I have done. So I feel like the added value here was really a bonus. By customizing the size myself, I was able to customize the belt with the perfect custom fit, which is really cool. I will add that the closure is at the highest level (har-har). It's just a big, solid piece of machined brass. The shape is stylish yet classic and I love how it looks with jeans. I will be buying 2 more belts from these guys to complete my color options and then I honestly feel like I won't need to buy another belt for years. I love things that are well made and last a long time. This belt definitely meets those requirements.
