Ok I was hoping to write an amazing review about how much I love these brow pencils. Not me. Maybe it's just this batch, but 2 packs of 2 pencils each were old. Maybelline's light brown brow pencils arrived "normal looking" but I literally couldn't get the pointy lid off of any of them, despite trying very hard. It was so ridiculous I laughed. And no, the pins didn't have a plastic seal that had to be cut off first. Eyebrow pencil or brow pencil doesn't need to be torn off, does it? Without giving up, I gently "wiggled" the sharp end of the small grooming scissors just under one side of the eyelid and repeated the same with the other sides. I can't stress enough how difficult it was to pierce the bottom cover with a scissor blade. I was hoping to loosen up the top. The pen itself now looked like it had been attacked by a woodpecker, as the tip of the scissors slipped off a couple of times. It's better than my fingers. Even when it worked, the tops didn't slip off easily - I still had to pull on them. The brow pencil was the right color, but even with an even makeup, it was too dry to work properly. The job was bumpy because the pencil had dried up. I'm so disappointed and too tired to send it back so I lose over $15. Its my fault. I'm not sure, but maybe Maybelline stopped making this particular product a long time ago, but this seller is still selling it. They should not. He should be staying at the Smithsonian, not in my cosmetics box. Or maybe it was a bad batch. I'm entitled to a refund, but this time I'll take the loss and throw away both packages. But I am writing this to warn you. This dried substance should not be applied to our skin --- scary. I also don't recommend trying to pry the leaves off with scissors like I did. It was just an accident, but I avoided a cut.
