Review on Enhanced Aluminum Turntable for 21.5-inch iMac by Rain Design - i360 by Seth Singh

Good quality product, easy to assemble and works as advertised. But the "aluminum" material used for this product isn't the durable aluminum Apple uses for iMacs (and MacBooks). It actually looks and feels like plastic, and in fact it might be, but I'm no expert on that. But I was disappointed because I love Rain Design products and they usually match the materials perfectly (see the difference in the pictures). Maybe it was a technical aspect of the design, or maybe it was a consideration that higher quality aluminum would result in a higher retail price. In any case, it should be advertised so that we buyers can know about it before buying; And if that was a cost consideration, then I think we, as Apple owners, are generally willing to pay higher prices for the quality and design of the products we buy. If Rain Design Co. is reading these reviews then she should consider upgrading this product (aluminum grade) as otherwise it is very useful and very well designed!
