This is a great shoulder bag. It's waterproof. I received the small size and it is the perfect size for me. For me this is a medium sized bag. It has a top zip closure. Wide shoulder straps do not dig into the shoulder. Inside there is a wide zipped pocket and an open pocket. There is also a small zip pocket. There are two pockets on the other side of the inner pocket. On the back there is a large zipped compartment where documents can be stored. There are three zippered compartments on the front of the wallet. One is quite large and roomy. One less. The third is a zippered pocket. On both sides there are pockets with elastic opening for small items. The outer zipped compartments have dime sized round metal tags that are strong enough to hold well, making the compartments easy to open. I chose purple. It's a lovely plum color with a very subtle hint of fuchsia to add some pizzazz. I love this handbag! It shines like satin. Large size must be very large! I'm glad I got the small size, which to me is the size of a medium wallet. It is approximately 11 inches wide and 8 inches high.
