This stunning necklace is a necklace that is approximately 17 inches long not including the extender and fits me fairly loosely, similar to the neck figure pictured in . It is quite heavy as the tiny square Beads are metal, there are many tiny strands of them, all beautifully worked and they are gathered in a spool (not quite a braid as there are two main strands), that is, even along the Necklace length. The edges of the pearls reflect the light beautifully. I think it would look great with dark solid colored tops or sweaters and it feels like an upgrade over my usual more casual necklaces - maybe not for formal occasions but definitely what I wear to a special family dinner or on the holidays would. The beadwork is very well done but the fittings are not as good as I expected. There is some unevenness in the gold plating at the ends and the rings are too light to support a necklace of this weight. The lobster clasp is large and easy to use, which is a plus, but the ring that supports the clasp on one end of the necklace and the ring that attaches it to the other end do not close properly. I have seen similar imperfections on several (but not all) Richera necklaces so I now carefully inspect the clasp and tighten the loops with small pliers if necessary to ensure they do not break when worn. I would give this chain five stars if it weren't for the hardware issue.
