My dog loves these cooling mats and seeks them out on her own to lie down. They are cool to the touch and just the right thickness for comfort. I have a Long Haired Chihuahua who has asthma, overheats quickly and pants franticly. Whenever she is in this state she will go, on her own, to her cooling mat and lie down. Within a very short time her breathing is back to normal and her body temp cools down. I have 4 of these mats in 2 different sizes. She sometimes likes to curl up in her crate or in her small bed so I put the smaller ones in there during the summer months for her. I have the larger one on the floor in the living room where we sit and one at the foot of my bed for her. She won't lie down anywhere else when these are around, so I know she loves them. LOL. They also are machine washable which I love. These are the best to keep our furbabies cool in the summer. Well worth it!
