I have recently switched to reversible razors from disposable cartridges and am very happy with the results of using these blades. While I can't compare how they perform to other double-edged blades, I can tell you they're far superior to any disposable or cartridge razor you can buy at the drugstore, as I've tried them all. I'm not new to wet shaving, but until recently I never knew what I was missing. Over the years I have learned that the best advertised product is not necessarily the highest quality product. My transition to a better shave started with a badger hair shaving brush and Proraso shaving cream, and later came the DE razor. As I got more tools and techniques my shave got better every time. I'm no longer afraid to shave in the morning. These blades work best with three passes. Go through the grain on the first pass, rinse and soap again. Hold the razor at a slight angle to the hair on the second and third lather passes, rinsing in between for a nice, close shave without irritation. If you are new to wet shaving, search the internet for the tools and techniques used. I've heard that Derby's are more forgiving of mistakes, so I started with them instead of a sampler.
