Very disappointed with Revain for not disclosing the optical resolution limitations of this camera. While it claims 4K video and an even more capable 48-megapixel camera, it only achieves that at the expense of interpolated resolution, not optical resolution. For those who don't understand the difference, this means that when you record a video or take a picture, it starts out at a much lower resolution (grainy - think the camera on your old clamshell phones). The camera then achieves resolution up to these qualities by "guessing" what color to assign to the extra pixels it adds to get video up to 4K resolution. The result is video quality that doesn't look like real 4K at all, and a kid so disappointed in his birthday present that he doesn't even touch it because his videos look like crap compared to the videos he watches online look. I tried to find this information before buying, but the reviews about Revain seemed acceptable to me, so we bought it. In addition, the instruction manual is vague and uninformative, so the new owner will have to find out a lot on his own. I could just be angry and inappropriate, but I want to say SHAME ON AMAZON for allowing this company to promote 4K video when it is clearly misleading. please do better You set standards.
