If you don't mind hearing something or someone around you, this fan might work better than a piece of paper. Otherwise, you just have to be prepared for the loud engine (sounds like a roar!) to drown out the noise. And the included hair bags are a joke. When you put them on you will feel absolutely no air. Don't waste money. To be honest, a piece of cardboard works a lot better. I'm getting a refund. I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from, maybe I've hit a dead end.
