Almost perfect good for me

About the delivery: I originally ordered this in grey. Set up the delivery appointment when I paid, assumed everything was fine, and then when delivery day came.no one showed up, called, texted, or anything. Revain's tracking told me to reach out to the company doing the delivering, and when I did they just said "we don't know where it is and we'll text you when we have it to make an appointment." I had emailed before I called, and the email response was much better—they explained that it appeared the chair was delayed along the way but I'd get a text as soon as it was at the local warehouse. Finally, a few days later, Revain emails to say the chair was damaged and wouldn't be delivered. I could reach out to get a replacement or wait for a refund. Grrr. I was ready for the chair NOW, so I went ahead and reordered myself. The grey had a long wait for a delivery appointment, and I'd been torn between it and the teal, so I went with the teal since I could get it in about a week. Luckily, the appointment I set up that time when I paid was actually delivered on time.About the chair: The appeal for me on this one was the depth of the chair. I don't miss my old sectional, but I miss having a chaise on one end. This isn't as deep as a chaise, of course, but it's deep enough that I can curl up or have my feet up with no problem. I have a pouf that's the same height so I can stretch my legs out when I want to.I am actually really glad I ended up with the teal. I'm sure the grey would've been nice, but the teal is a soft fabric and it adds such a nice pop of color. The seat is comfortable, and is getting even more so as it gets broken in. The back pillow, on the other hand, is the main thing I'm less satisfied with. It's very firm and very thick, so I don't feel like I'm sinking into the back, and I don't feel like I'm getting the maximum depth on the seat. I assume it'll get better over time, and I've tried jumping on it and sitting on it—I even considered taking it apart to see if I can take some of the filling out. The back pillow is truly the thing that keeps it from being perfect for me.It's not a super heavy chair, but it seems stable and doesn't move around as much on the hardwood floors compared to the other chair (and the one this one replaced). Initially I was a little skeptical about the legs because they are pretty thin, but the design seems solid and though they are thin, they seem solid.About assembly: The chair arrives in a big box, the pillows detach from the chair itself, so it's basically three pieces in the box. It took me a minute to figure out that the legs were bolted into the underneath part (it unzips), mostly because the legs are pretty skinny so I didn't notice them at first. It was kind of a pain to unbolt two of the legs because the bolts were on tight and the angle was awkward. But, I got them out, attached the legs to the chair, and voila! Super easy once I got past my initial struggle.Bottom line: One bad and one good shipping experience. I comfy, nice looking chair with a too-thick back pillow. I definitely recommend, however the shipping and the back pillow situations should be noted.

Pros
  • Very easy to assemble. Comfortable
Cons
  • While the teal color of the sofa is certainly eye-catching, it may not fit with everyone's sense of style
