If you're torn between choosing a Rode Handlebar and this one, get this one. It's better than the alternative and the price is a steal. This bar exceeded my expectations for something in this price range. The thing is really easy. Wrap the cable neatly around the pole and tape it in place in several places and the thing is quiet, no rattling. The twist locks work great and lock securely when tightened. The rubberized grip feels comfortable. The only complaint is that you sometimes feel a slight wobble when pulling out multiple sections. But after re-passing and tightening the twistlocks, everything tightens up nicely. All in all I use it with a Sennheiser MKE 600 short directional microphone with a Sennheiser MZH600 windscreen and I think this pole is more than enough for 99% of the people who can buy it.
