The kit was good in every way. The directions are ok, they need to be slowed down and shown in more detail, but I don't think this is a task for a beginner. You must have an open area where you can apply ink. It might be dirty. My HP printer didn't like it when I tried to reuse old cartridges. I kept getting various errors which made the whole process more cumbersome. I can't say the kit is bad, but you should definitely make sure your printer can easily recycle cartridges before attempting to refill them.
