Soft and plush suitable for children under a year old up to four or five and a fun learning tool

Baby Einstein Octopuses was another birthday present for my one year old grandson. This is a soft plush octopus that plays pleasant music when hugged or pressed on its head. The velor legs have round colorful satin spots to indicate a different color and corresponding object (red cherries, blue sky). Each foot announces both a color and an object when each of the eight feet is gently pressed, and a switch in the battery compartment selects a different language: English, French, and Spanish. There are two volume levels and an off switch, and adults have easy access to all switches and the power supply in the closed compartment. My sister in law says she loves octoplush; The music is not too loud and is actually nice. The toy is professionally made, with a nice even line and no protruding threads. She was pleased that Octoplush had NO offensive flame retardant odor or other unpleasant odors. My grandson Octoplush is now four months old and still one of his favorites, he understands that the head plays music and it is very easy for him to squeeze and control it. He's holding a plush octopus and swaying to the music in adorable dance moves. This is an educational toy for kids, but due to my grandson's young age, he doesn't specifically use the language buttons on his legs. However, as he gets a little older and understands more words, Octoplush will teach him some theoretical knowledge as a fun learning tool.
