This cable is constructed as if certified for use as a critical part of a nuclear reactor and is heavy enough to power a car from an external source. So why could it be bad? Because it needs to connect two 3.5mm jacks, wow! Designed for portable consumer devices and accessories, the 3.5mm connector typically connects to a suitable lightweight cable. This monster is so heavy that if you move any of the connected objects - say a laptop or a phone - you'll see the connector bend at different angles under the weight of the cable. This may NOT be good for the longevity of the plug. I would only consider this for a fixed installation that won't damage the cable (although it's hard to imagine what use that could be), or perhaps if your portable device and cable is on a table and not tangled you need to move Turn on the music; Even then I don't like how the other end is probably hanging out of the jack on the amp. As the late quality guru Joseph Juran said, quality is "fitness for purpose": this product is a perfect negative illustration of the rule. This is the highest build quality imaginable for a 3.5mm to 3.5mm patch cord, but it's poor quality for its intended function. Now if you plan to build a reactor control system using 3.5mm jacks and attach the cable in place, that's a different story.
