You've read a lot in the headlines about how bad plastic water bottles are. for you and the environment. But I don't care about the feel of steel. Since I'm home most of the time, I wanted to try a glass water bottle. We have a variety of mason jars, but I like the narrower opening of a well-designed "bottle" rather than those wide or even standard sphere tumblers. I also know that you have to drink massive amounts of water, but to be honest, I find those huge jugs intimidating. I feel like a loser once I get my hands on it ;) These 8 ounce bottles (actually they hold a bit more) are perfect for my needs. When you read reviews of other glass bottles, you see horror stories of broken shards or poorly designed cheap caps. But these bottles are made of durable, well-made, thick glass with easy-to-open and close black plastic caps. I like the taste of water in them. I can even put one or two on my nightstand or bathroom counter and they're great for when I want a sip of water. I think they are great for making juices or sauces. But to be honest we bought them for the water and they exceeded our expectations! I love these bottles! Excellent value for money and quality.
