This kit includes some silver plastic pieces to make room for the screw. One of us broke down the wall, which wasn't fun. We used our own plastic parts for the next shelf and had much better success. Use your own hardware when you get it! The shelf is excellent and very cute as described. Just don't use the parts that come with the kit unless you want to make gaping holes in the walls.
