Living in an earthquake-prone area, the safety of anything hanging is a priority, so I've used wax, putty, and gel extensively throughout the house. The product determines how things are used. I prefer to use wax to fix the pictures (once they are properly hung). The wax is soft and easy to work with, and it's easy to "gently" move the images around on the small beads of wax until they are just right. Then press firmly and firmly on all four corners at the same time and the picture will hold securely in place. No more crooked pictures and broken glass on the floor when someone accidentally touches a picture. Small children are constantly knocking over photographs and plaster objects on the wall shown. Nothing has moved yet. I prefer their "hard" wax over their wax that already comes in balls. Digging out the wax is not difficult, but images of different weights and sizes require different sizes of wax, so the solid material allows for all sizes and configurations. Wax is also great for hanging temporary posters. It won't chip paint from walls or damage surfaces like wood, and it's easy to apply and remove posters without damaging them. Wax definitely has its downsides. It gets polluted by dust and is difficult to clean. So if it is used in a place where it is visible, it needs to be replaced from time to time. The cleaning of some surfaces, e.g. B. Plaster, can pose a great challenge. However, wax is also translucent, so the question sometimes arises whether to use wax or putty. I prefer this particular brand of wax for its qualities. It's soft and pliable when you work with it, but hardens afterwards, making it easier to keep clean for longer. undamaged photos, even when small children run around in the house! I also use it to attach some items to my robe. I prefer this particular brand of wax for its qualities.
