This unit was not compatible with the other units I have that use 1 inch poles. The poles are thinner and shelves are not as heavy duty. Still, it is functional for medium to lightweight use. Easy to assemble. Sleeves clipped on easily but slid down several times when installing the shelves. They don't seem to grip as tightly into the grooves as the heavier units but I did manage to get it working. The feet are adjustable for leveling so I made the front ones taller to allow the unit to lean into the wall to decrease the chances of it tipping forward. I love the versatility of being able to put the shelves at different heights to maximize usage. I placed desired items on each shelf before installing the one above to make sure I had the perfect amount of space.
