This machine works like a charm I am very happy with the purchase. However, I notice that many of the same questions and the like come up, so I thought I'd take the time to try and clarify a few things for those who actually read the reviews. You scroll it and add a layer of glue on the bottom (covered with release paper). That's all. Although your sticker is 5 inches in diameter, the length can be quite long since it only outputs one continuous sheet. When creating small stickers (2 inch, 1 inch) it's best to group them in a page builder or similar so you don't waste a roll on a very small sticker or two. Producing them in bulk is cheaper. The machine does NOT add mats or laminates to the top of the decal, so keep that in mind. It uses no batteries or electricity; It is fully controlled by a crank that works great. It's best if your decals are relatively simple shapes with broad curves. Intricate and detailed die cuts will likely not work as well as the glue will stick to the paper. If you want to make decals with intricate shapes, I would recommend NOT cutting out the shapes (like you would with a Silhouette or Cricut machine) but giving them a free frame instead. The most important thing to remember about this machine is that the quality of the sticker that comes out of it is entirely dependent on the quality of what you put in it. Plain printer paper or kraft paper makes a pretty decent, basic, everyday sticker. But if you want really solid stickers, you have to decide on a backing. Plus, if you want decals that can be placed outdoors, on cars, or whatever, you'll need to either seal the decals with a waterproof matte spray or use single-sided laminate films (which can be easily found at office supply stores). ). Personally, I was able to get near-professional quality stickers on this thing using good quality photo paper, which I then stuck to a sheet of laminate. You can also glue vinyl through this machine, but most printable vinyl already has glue on it, so it's superfluous. "Permanent" sticky rolls are definitely permanent. The adhesive is very good, about the same as a regular sticker you would buy. in the shop. You can stick it to glass if you want, but be aware that it will likely require chemicals or scraping to remove (if you want to make decals for glass, you can try anti-static vinyl instead). Leaves). Either way, this is a great little machine that makes the stickers more durable than the regular sheets of sticker paper you find at craft stores. The kids will probably love it and it looks like a very kid friendly car. Now I'm tempted to buy a slightly larger model of Xyron machines.
