Exactly what I was looking for, I used them to place 4x4 cinnamon rolls with plenty of room around. I could probably fit a 3x3, maybe even a 4x4. They are quite firm, the only thing I noticed was that one of the buns coming straight out of the oven caused one of the boxes underneath to soften a bit. The second box with a different batch did not fit. So I'd say be aware that something floating in the box might soften it. But all cool, it's perfect.
