I used this when I moved into a furnished apartment for college. The mattress before adding was very hard and uncomfortable. After I bought and used it. MY GOD! Full makeup! I couldn't say it was there for that until the end of my use. I would suggest changing it every 2-4 weeks, mostly when you change your linens. And ladies by all means use a mattress protector, once it's bloody it's very difficult to put the whole comforter in the washing machine and then let it air dry takes 10 years. But it was worth it, the comfort was pleasant and the benefits I got from it were affordable. Be sure to rotate or you'll get flat spots and clumps of feathers. Advantages: comfort, perfect fit, economy, service life (1.5 years). Could have been used longer but I've moved and bought a new bed. Cons: mattress topper required, difficult to wash, not intended for menstruating women (so beware), [slips off bed sometimes - presumably from washing and drying, so shrinks]
