Review on SE 270 Lumens 2-in-1 Camping Lanterns (2-Pack) - FL804-3COB-2: Brighten Your Outdoor Adventures! by Eric Tiwari

Revainrating 3 out of 5

1 lamp broken when received, seems fragile, batteries included, Ho-Hum product

I really wanted to like these camping lanterns but was disappointed. They looked and worked similar to the pictures and product description, but the construction felt cheap. One of the two lamps came forward with its body ripped off its base (but the light was still on and hanging by the wires!). Looking at how the plastic broke, it seems to me to be most likely a mold defect that the shipping gods overcharged. The flashlight is powered by 3 AA batteries that are inserted through the hole in the base. There the switch has separate modes for the front (flashlight) LED and the retractable flashlight lens. The batteries in both of mine were very low and barely lit the LEDs. I put in the new AA items before trying them out. When I turned it on in my living room, one of the two lamps, intact, was bright enough for safe lighting. My small 2AA LED flashlight hanging from the ceiling with a lamp lit the room at least as well. Maybe better. For my purpose of emergency lighting in the event of a power outage, I find that to be fine at best. California's Hazardous Substances Warning, especially with no information on potentially hazardous chemical exposures, is a little concerning. I'm just assuming it's the batteries that came with it. You will suit my purpose. The plastic end can be glued in place if done carefully. However, I'm not very impressed. They work but aren't as bright as you would expect from product listing illustrations. I can only give this lamp 3 stars. I would like to give 2.5 but not half a star to Revain. Ho hum makes me sad to report at best.
