Review on HP V20 19.5" Diagonal Computer Monitor with Anti-Glare Coating, Tilt Adjustment, Blue Light Filter, and HD Quality at 60Hz by Cameron Harris

Suitable for general office use, maybe not for movies or gaming

I'm writing about the HP 20kd, size 19.5". I've only used it for a day, but I have a pretty good impression of it. It's quite bright, I even had to reduce the contrast and brightness settings, so it's becoming more consistent to my old monitor that I use next to it. It's also sharp and clear with text. On the "Standard" color setting, colors appear a bit desaturated, yellows in particular appear quite dim. Also, yellows have a slight green tint. I had to do my custom RGB -Adjust settings to get something that looked reasonably balanced (although my eye isn't calibrated so I have no objective way of measuring color accuracy.) HP drivers not installed, it's possible colors could improve, when using their ICM file I also tried the warm and cool color settings but found them too warm/cold on the lower right corner and on the rec hten edge screen there are small lights. It's only really noticeable when I have a black or very dark screen. I bought it for general office use and it should be fine for that, but I don't want to watch movies on it or use it to edit photos etc. Physically it would be more convenient if it had an HDMI input - does it really increase the cost in 2020? My last point of criticism concerns the location of the entrances at the bottom on the back. If you're using a stiff, heavy DVI cable with a ferrite core, it won't work as well, as it needs to be bent slightly to fit the monitor's DVI connector. This puts a strain on both the cable and the monitor connection.
