Convenient and nice price, but there are a few things to watch out for.

Received yesterday and appears to be working very well. For less than half the price of the Samsung version, I was able to get one for home and one for work. The device has a small status light on the bottom that glows blue to let you know it has power and glows green while charging. The blue status light turns off after a few seconds, which is nice. When your phone is fully charged, the green charging indicator will also turn off. I also have a clear case on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with stand and the charger works great with it and charges in both portrait and landscape modes but does not charge when the display is facing the charger. However, there are still a few things to consider. The device does not come with a power outlet. Charger and USB cable only. You'll need to use your existing USB outlet or buy a different one. Luckily I had a few extra laying around, and the standing desk at work has a strong USB connection, so I'll be fine. When using it in the bedroom, be aware that your display may still flicker and the notification lights may dim. Before I had this device, I would just put the display down and rely on the Samsung 7 Edge notifications when I needed something. I now place a folded business card on top so the light doesn't blink when I get a text or Facebook notification. I also disabled some notifications. The phone also gets a bit warm when charging, but it's barely noticeable.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
