.No matter what brand of shell you are looking for, there are always negative reviews. So finally I said fuck it and went for this one. I have it and think it's great for the money. The top cover is soft yet smooth to the touch. Perfect for the stickers I've already put on them!. whether it cracks, as some have reported, who knows. I have a late 2010 MacBook Pro 13 model and it fits perfectly. The instructions state that the top cover has three tabs (indicating that it must be placed at the top of the screen), however mine only has two on each end, but I still attached it with no problems. and I've tried both ways. There's a small logo in one corner, but personally I wasn't sure if it should be readable with the lid closed or open, so I put a sticker over it. Rubber grommets are attached to the bottom cover, 4 of which are included extra. The appearance of artificial marble actually looks quite realistic. I chose it to best show the Apple logo and make my stickers stand out. As it stands I would order again
