Review on 📏 Olfa NOM084590 Frosted Advantage Non-Slip Ruler - Compact, 6.5" x 6.5 by Carol Miller

I used this ruler as soon as I received it! I like that it's not cluttered with numbers in every possible spot. After a few decades of quilting and using rotary rulers I can see at a glance where the half, quarter and inch lines are unnumbered EVERYWHERE and cover where I only need tiny LINES. I LOVE this line for that fact right away! I can place this measurement line (not blocked by a large number) right on the edge of my fabric and cut. There are numbers on the ruler, don't misunderstand what I'm saying. It's just that they aren't big and are placed redundantly throughout the line. I know 5 1/2 is a big line between 5 and 6 inch lines, I no longer need numbers to tell me which line it is! I like small numbers that I can check at a glance with a ruler on fabric. Simplicity and cleanliness - that's how I would best describe the labeling. I didn't overdo it, which I really appreciate. The second thing I noticed and love about this line that differs from my previous favorite line is its "feel". There is some coating on the line. I have no idea what it is, but it's a GOOD cover! This prevents the ruler from slipping all over the fabric when laying it down. It does NOT stick and only in certain places. The entire ruler is coated so it won't slip or move, and you don't have to stand on it to get a clean cut. Whatever is "frozen" stays in place, and when you press and cut, it stays in place. don't MOVE! Now, if you put in more layers of fabric than recommended, you can, and probably will, get a layer! But when used properly I haven't had any offset yet while cutting with this ruler. I usually only cut 2 layers at a time. This line was packaged with several other items that I have ordered. Arrived safely. I was sealed in cling film with a label over the plastic wrap. Nothing stuck to it that needed washing or erasing, which was nice. I could immediately put her on a strip of cloth and see how she felt. Overall I am delighted with this line, this is the first of the "Frosted" line that I have purchased. I can't say anything negative about it. I am a very happy customer.
