Review on GogoFix Precision Anti-Static ESD Tweezers Kit: The Ultimate Toolset for Electronics, Craft, Jewelry, and Lab Work by Mike Larkin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good budget set, fine tips, limited range

While this is a good budget set I don't see anything worthy of 5 stars other than the price. disabled some tips, although easy to change. (But that also means they're easy to bend into shape.) They have a good non-conductive coating, but note that the tips and shaft are still conductive. The coating simply protects you from the wires going to/from the tweezers. Although the paint is non-magnetic, the tweezers themselves are made of ferritic stainless steel and can react with magnetic fields. Although there are 9 tweezers, about 5 have roughly the same narrow thin tips and differ mainly in shaft length. , shape and/or tension. In most cases, you won't notice any real difference between the two. But extra money never hurts! The other 4 include chisel and contra-angle tips. One of the nice features of the set is a roll-up canvas bag for storage. This makes the set very compact to pack in a tool box or even a bag. The bag has an extra flap to wrap the tips to protect them from protruding or puncturing when you carry them around. Each tweezer also comes with a plastic cap but two of them were split on arrival so I don't expect them to last long. I love the set and would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget - the price is exceptional. You really can't beat the deal. However, you get what you pay for. This is just mediocre quality and accuracy. Most likely they will be my "daily drivers" for most tasks. but I'll still reach for my premium tweezers when I need true peak power and absolute grip precision. These are the tweezers you take to work because you can afford to lose, not the tweezers you want to keep forever.
