It's almost perfect for me. Lost a star, we'll talk about that later. Let's start with the good details. It is very durable and arrived very well packaged. Although the bookshelf was clearly wrinkled in transit, the bookshelf itself was completely intact, they really thought about how to protect it during transit. It appears to be real metal and something at least close to wood. It's pretty hard, but not that hard. For me the size was perfect for the use I envisioned but be aware this will not be a floor to ceiling bookshelf. Now for the less important things, and they're a bit marginal. The latches that attach the front of each shelf to the metal brackets are VERY difficult to attach. I put my 200+ pound weight in and still couldn't get the top shelf to snap into place. Luckily, it was easier to just step on the bottom shelves until they snapped into place. There's really no reason why they should be that difficult to snap into place, but then again, if you've got most of them jammed, the only real problem is that the shelves are misaligned and only half offset. Customs service. So okay, I can live with that. Second, and it's not the product's fault at all, but these items take a LONG time to ship. I bought mine through Prime with 3 day shipping. It was dispatched on Wednesday and delivered the following Tuesday with two mechanical delays by UPS en route. I'm guessing it's so big they need special equipment to move it? Either way, just plan ahead. If you choose 3-day shipping, please assume it will take a week. Of course, returning this item would be a nightmare, so do your homework and make sure you have the right size before you buy.
