Review on ZAGG ZAGGfolio for Apple iPad 2 - Carbon with Black Keyboard: A Perfect Blend of Style and Functionality by Deron Gilliam

Not just his

My husband's last toy was an iPad2 that he bought for Christmas. My computer background is entirely Windows based with a desktop or laptop computer. So I was immediately challenged because the iPad2 is touch only, plus Apple/app based. Well, of course there's a touch keyboard, but I'm only used to tactile keys for typing. This keyboard is great; It performs a usability conversion for me for the following reasons: 1. The keyboard is very similar to a desktop keyboard, with large keys. The touch action is a bit strong but smooth. I don't notice much of a difference when using my desktop.2. The screen and keyboard are connected simply and firmly, offering good viewing angles. It's very possible to even out the result on your knees, allowing you to surf and watch TV at the same time. I know you can do it with a laptop, but using an iPad2 weighs less and isn't as bulky.3. With an improved keyboard, I get the full desktop experience and can use touch options when I want; both work at the same time.4. In a word, the construction is solid. I think with normal use this keyboard will last a long time. The current price of around $80 is better than the $90+ I paid about a month ago and well worth it. With this keyboard, the only hurdles left were learning the new Safari browser and not having a mouse. I'm not sure if my husband is happy that I can use his iPad2 now. This review will be updated when durability issues arise.
