You won't find a better case for this price.

Full disclosure. The reason I bought this was because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a case from a manufacturer I hadn't tried before. It was reasonably priced, had features I liked, and looked like it would fit my needs. It arrived with a small shipping damage that did not affect the function. That's the only reason I sent it back. I tried it for a day and was very impressed. Although I have not tested the protection of this case, based on the construction and materials, it is clear that it will fully protect your iPad and pencil without suffering damage from any conceivable damage. Drop 3-4 meters. This case is still thin enough that using a cable with a 90 degree connector shouldn't be a problem. The built-in pencil protection on the charging station is particularly nice. I hold the iPad in landscape mode by one end and rest the bottom edge on my lap. This clarified the design problem of the iPad Pro. You can't lay an iPad on its edge with a pencil attached. It's okay to place the iPad pencil-side up, right? Well, now my left thumb (left-handers are lucky with that) usually covers the camera/face recognition sensor. Hm. This case solves that problem by accommodating a pencil and allowing me to rest my iPad on that edge. The protection of the keys does not affect their operation in any way. The built in cover/stand works great and is not without problems when placed on the back of the iPad or folded into the stand position so as not to block the camera. The only "downside" in this case is no hard case, so over time I can see how the material protects the edge I'm holding. it deforms over time. I'm not going to deduct a star for a feature that never happened in this case. The main reason I mention this is that an expensive hard case with a soft outer shell from a well known case manufacturer (pet box) was a huge disappointment as the softer outer shell warped after a few months rendering this case unusable. The quality of construction and design gave me the confidence to order one of the more expensive hard cases from this manufacturer when I returned it. Cons: Could be a tighter fit, but not worth knocking down the chainring as it's more than tight enough to be secure, yet easy to install or remove.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
