Review on 🎧 Pro Ears Stealth Elite: 3-in-1 Bluetooth Electronic Hearing Protection, NRR 28 by Karen Watson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not a very useful product, I'll keep looking

I really want them to work as I'm a huge Pro Ears fan - my Pro Ears Gold Stalker headphones are excellent - but I wanted something to wear for shooting on cymbals, which was cooler in warm weather but still improved hearing. I was hoping to wear them while hunting as well. Like one of the other reviewers, this pair emits a hiss in position 1, which is annoying. In 2nd position it only gets worse with an electronic sound and louder hiss. It's not unbearable, and when shooting I tend to forget it's there, but when I'm sitting quietly in the woods while hunting, it's very noticeable and the annoyance factor increases. It's ok as far as soundproofing goes, but I can't believe the NRR is 28. I can use them on an open field for skeet, but I have to run with muffs on an open area closed by an awning in the shooting area and walls on both sides. They just don't seem to do the job and I suspect they would be useless indoors. I've been trying to use them sporadically since October 2020, for 7 months now and my opinion hasn't changed. They're just not a very good product as far as my needs are concerned.
