I was looking for a variation on the Alton Brown Salt Cellar as it is no longer for sale on their website - here it is! The set includes a spoon and there is a small gap to allow the spoon to go through the lid. So when you remove the spoon, there is always a small gap. But no matter - it's salt! What happens to him because there is a small gap? Nothing! So buy this for your salt shaker! For the record, the item is a lot larger than I thought it would be, so check the dimensions if that's important to you. While it's a bit bulky, it's not very heavy (at least when filled with salt). The handle feels good in your hand and you can simply open the lid with your thumb.
