I have a Toshiba D-R410 DVD Recorder/Player that was purchased in March 2008 of the year was published. My original controller finally bit the dust about 3 weeks ago. I tried disassembling and cleaning the controller. Well, the contacts are so worn it's time to look for another controller. Yes, there were a few original controllers for sale - most of them used and "rebuilt" but I couldn't bring myself to buy any of the ones for sale. I chose this one based on reviews and price. I now have full functionality of my DVD recorder/player with this new replacement controller. I couldn't be happier with the results. Sometimes you take the plunge and fail.
