I love using underwear for my son. They help reduce the risk of SIDS and he stays warm all night because he can't take it off when he moves. This quilt resembles the quilt or quilt into which it is stuffed. It's a bit heavier than the ones I've been using but I think it will be great for the cold months ahead. It has a two-way zipper, which I really like. You can unzip the side to put it on or take it off, or you can unzip the bottom to change diaper without worrying about your little one getting cold. The zipper is of excellent quality and does not stick. My biggest concern when I opened it up was how it would hold up in the wash considering the front and back are filled like a quilt or quilt. I followed the directions and let it dry. Holds up well. The filling didn't move, making it lumpy. It can still be felt everywhere. It's a bit big for my son as I ordered 18-24 months and he barely wears 6 months. I plan to order this in his size when it gets cold as I think that is the best time of year to wear it.
