Stiff leather, just OK, not for smaller wrists

I don't know what it is but the leather looks and feels very cheap. It has a very matte feel and the band is stiff. While it fit my watch perfectly the band is a little long for my wrist so when I close the loop the end juts out. I wish there were other watch straps in the size I needed to choose from on ebay - next time I'll just pay a bit more money and look elsewhere
