Definitely doesn't scratch
As stated in the description, they don't itch or scratch. Unfortunately, as such they are not so good at "combing". If you want to use them instead of sponges to wash dishes they'd be great, but if you want to aggressively clean something that needs cleaning like a cooking grate they're too shy.
