For $50 this keyboard has everything you really need. It's a membrane keyboard, which means it doesn't have the ultra-fast switches found on some higher-end models. However, these switches are noisy. A lot of noise. This keyboard is said to be quite quiet. It's not dead quiet, but quiet enough. People with partners who sleep next to each other. This is your keyboard! While it doesn't have any fancy switches, it's still quite nice. Of course, you can be picky about saying that real switches are better, but then I suggest you look at the $50 price tag. That $50 will buy you a lot of keyboards. This is a full size keyboard with numeric keys. It has RGB LEDs that can display any number of colors and I have to admit that the color changing effect is quite nice. However, you can disable the LEDs if you wish. But when you do, the buttons are a little harder to spot. The keys are black and the letters on them are clear, allowing the LEDs to shine through. Therefore, if you turn off the LEDs, the characters are difficult to see. If RGB is your concern I would just use a solid color for the LEDs, they can go solid red. At first I thought they were all white, but I was wrong. The keyboard has several keys to control the LEDs. There is no software to install to control the LEDs, everything is done via the preset toggle buttons. *I have edited this review to correct this. At first I thought there was some software that would allow better control of the LEDs. The build quality is what I expected from HyperX, it's amazing. This keyboard is exceptionally durable. You cannot bend or bend this keyboard. It could probably be used as a weapon if the ninjas ever invade your office space. There is also a braided USB cable. which will last longer. It's water resistant which is a nice bonus. And of course it has media controls which are very handy. If I had to be picky, some characters are harder to read than I expected. I'm not a professional typist, so I cheat a bit and look at the keyboard sometimes. I'm just like that. That's why I need some time to recognize some keys. Most of you might not see it that way, as I said, it's a minor nitpick. And as I mentioned above, when you turn off the light, you can't read the keys very well at all. You'll have to turn on the backlight unless you're really comfortable with the keyboard. For โฌ50 you can't go wrong. There may be better keyboards out there than these, but they cost a lot more than $50!
