Before purchasing this monitor I was using an Asus VG245H which is currently only $10 more on Revain. The first thing that struck me about BenQ is the assembly. This monitor and stand feels really bad. The bezel is much thicker, but it also juts out over the face of the display, creating a reflective surface around the edge of the screen that's not too distracting but noticeable. Those criticisms aside, the display is actually pretty good in my opinion, I found the BenQ brighter than the Asus. The only issues I've noticed is a stuck pixel that's since gone, and pretty bad ghosting when the ama feature is on (I think it's on by default). When it is turned off the halos disappear and for me the response remains the same. Overall I think this monitor is decent, not bad for the price but personally I felt my money was better spent on Asus.
