Review on Phanteks Enthoo Chassis Window PH ES614P_BK by Andrew Kamkoff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well-made case, but airflow control requires some effort.

I ordered this on 12/20/18 for $99 (now it's $132?). It costs $99. This case has already been removed from the Phanteks website so I'm not sure if it has been discontinued. This device has two acrylic windows (the new ones have tempered glass). Six 3.5-inch drives load into screwless trays that fit into slots on the right (both sides come off). It can hold 4 x 2.5" drives (SSDs) with the patented Drop-n-Lock bracket, but the case only comes with one. The right side also has a cavity behind the motherboard for cable management with lots of velcro to keep everything organized and good access behind the CPU so you can easily change the CPU cooling option without removing the motherboard. It has three 5.25-inch (half-height) bays on top. The top one is a door that swings open to reveal audio, USB, and a reset button. It doesn't look like the whole half-height hole is behind this bracket, so don't expect to remove it and put in a fourth 5.25" device! The power supply's bottom cavity can accommodate a 13" power supply, but if you want to run cables into the control cavity, you'll need a power supply no longer than 10". My 1000w Corsair PSU is only 7 inches, so shouldn't be a problem. There are "filters" on the bottom that pop out front and back for cleaning, but hex mesh vents on the back on either side. The large case fan lets in unfiltered air (and just really swirls around!), so air handling not really thought through in this case. Also, there's ventilation, so that's something to take care of as well. Then there's a big opening in the top! Didn't Figured out how to remove the top to possibly close it but it can't be that hard There are mounting points at the top for additional fans or installing a heatsink for a CPU liquid cooler. The ghost can pass through the CPU cooler unless it is then pushed into the case - no isolated chamber is provided if that is important to you. Installed in the cable routing cavity is a PWM fan "hub" designed to connect to ONE fan header on the motherboard. If your motherboard has separate headers for all the fans I would plug it directly into the motherboard and disable the hub, but it's good that they enabled it. want.
